Henry's 1st Thanksgiving

This year we had something extra special to be thankful for at Thanksgiving - our precious little boy:).  Holidays are bittersweet events since my brother passed away, so having Henry this year makes it that much easier.

We had two different Thanksgiving dinners this year and Henry had adorable outfits to wear to both.  The first dinner was with Chance's mom's side of the family the Saturday before Thanksgiving at his Aunt Weezie's house.  When my sister visited in October, we bought Henry this "My First Turkey Day" outfit with matching bib, and I was so nervous that he would outgrow it before Thanksgiving.  We were able to get one wear out of it before he couldn't stretch his legs out all the way...yay!  Since he was only a few weeks old, he managed to sleep through the entire dinner, but we were able to get a few pictures and then took a few more when we got home and it was time to eat again.

Our first Thanksgiving as a family of three!

 Happy Thanksgiving!

On Thanksgiving Day, we went down to Chance's mom and dad's for the day so Chance could go hunting and help with the cows.  The day before, I came down with my 2nd round of mastitis, so I was running a fever and felt very bad.  Chance left super early (4:30ish) to go hunting and then came back after he shot one to get the two so we could go down and visit.  Henry was given a Thanksgiving outfit from some of our close friends and thankfully it still fit as well.  Here he is sporting his "Mommy's Little Turkey" outfit with the "gobble! gobble!" socks I bought him.

The Saturday after Thanksgiving we went back down to Chance's parents' house to celebrate Thanksgiving with his immediate family.  His sister and brother-in-law were back in town from Western Kansas and we all spent the day celebrating (again) together.
