Our July 4th weekend was jam packed and super fun this year! People always ask me what we're doing when it's a holiday weekend, and my answer is always the same - if it's summer, it's just an extra day for us to get our work done and have a normal weekend - that's the life of livestock owners!
We had a fun and productive weekend and made it home for some family time on Saturday night and Sunday. Here's our weekend in pictures!
FaceTime with Carrie while Mommy packs
Why does he always make a mess when I'm in a hurry?!

On Saturday morning, the crew headed out to gather the rest of the heifers so we could doctor a few and move them to a different section of the ranch. Chance and Sam had gathered most of them the day before, but that many acres with only 2 people was tough. Henry had been up for several hours in the middle of the night, so he and I slept in (until 7:30) and got up to help with phase 2 of the morning work. Our friend Drew came down the night before, so that made 4 horses and a pickup (Chance's dad) - way easier!
Headed north!
All 142 head made it with no issues...yay!
These girls will be 1st time mama's soon!
Team pictures!
The crew :)
Henry loves to ride...makes me so happy :)

Naptime!
We got everything cleaned up and headed home Saturday afternoon so we could have some family time around the house. Daddy spent the morning filling up Henry's pool and water table so we could enjoy some outside time before it got too hot. We even went swimming at our neighbor's pool for a little while.
Selfie!
Jumping into the pool - Daddy was making lots of splashes
Counts to 3 and squeals the whole time
Sleepy boy
We painted a 4th of July shirt (on the 5th, but who's counting?!)

Love this guy
Using her hurt leg...finally!
Our finished art project! Oops, the lines are crooked :(
Sam the gardener - pretty much the only way our garden is surviving!
In his spare time (wait, what's that?), Chance worked on our master bathroom and started laying the tile for the shower floor. It's coming along!
