I always say that birthdays are such a big deal, they should be celebrated for the entire week! This year, my 31st birthday fell on a Monday, so we decided to celebrate the weekend before. Since Chance had thrown me a surprise party last year, I asked if we could simply go to dinner just two of us and call it good. He agreed, but added in an ice cream cake (my favorite) and a card, and it was perfect :) My birthday was July 27th, so I'm obviously quite a bit behind getting this posted...

After naptime, we headed out to play in the sprinkler for a little while and Henry had so much fun. It's amazing how a simple $2 sprinkler and a water hose can be such great entertainment to a toddler :)
When Daddy got home we headed over to the neighbors to check on their dog (since they were out of town) and do a little swimming in their pool.

On Sunday, the three of us went to Wichita for some shopping and an early supper to celebrate (round 1) for my birthday. We ended up buying Henry some clothes and got a few things for Chance's Alaskan fishing trip (more about that in a separate post) but nothing for me. I saved up my turn for the following weekend :)
