Baby Gregory - Week 25

Week 25 was a unique week because Chance was out of town for most of it, which rarely happens.  It's weird that we used to both travel full time, yet we've settled into this non-traveling life so easily.

He typically only stays gone a night at a time if he ever travels overnight, but this past week he was in Denver for his National Sales Meetings from Tuesday until Saturday night.  It was just me, the dogs and the horses holding down the fort.  Before he left on Tuesday we had a huge storm complete with hail, high winds and tons of rain.  The rain continued most of the week through the weekend (and today as I type this as well) - reminding us that our prayers can be answered and all of the "rain prayers" are coming true!  Hopefully this means we are out of the three year drought that has plagued us and everyone else around the region.

Ok, back to Baby Gregory!  Week 25 was started off on a GREAT note when we came home from work to find a package from one of my best friends.  She mailed us her pocket doppler so we can listen to the baby's heartbeat at home!  It has been such a fun week checking on our little one at night before bed...we're just trying not to do it too often so our doctor's appointments are still exciting.

Week 25

Is it growing?  It's hard for me to tell...kidding!

The weather was so nice last Monday night that we all hung out outside for a while - and of course the horses never miss an opportunity for some attention.  Since I haven't been riding in way too long, I try to go and love on my babies whenever I can.

Slate (aka the most spoiled horse ever)

On Wednesday night, our Youth Group kids and some of their parents got their first glimpse of the Baby Gregory belly.  It was so sweet to see the kids (well, mostly the girls) getting excited about the little one.  I have a feeling we'll have plenty of baby sitters when the time comes because they are already volunteering to help :)  We interviewed a potential candidate for a full-time Youth Director this week which is a blessing since we will have our hands full this fall.  Hopefully it all works...we'll see!

This past Saturday was my 29th birthday...kind of a special one since it's my last one before becoming a Mama, and it's the last one before I turn THIRTY!!! I can't even type the number...it's just too hard lol!

Since Chance was gone most of the day on my actual birthday, he took me out yesterday and we were able to do our first bit of baby shopping together.  My mom and sister helped me with the registry so this was his first time getting an in-person glimpse at all of the overwhelming-ness of babies.  It was a fun day complete with lunch and lots of alone time together, which we realized we haven't had outside of our house in quite a while, not even a meal.  All in all, week 25 was a great week, start to finish.  We're ready for week 26!
