Palm Sunday

This post is a bit behind, same story, different day!  I typed it last Monday, but it was a crazy week and I forgot to hit "publish".  Rewind to Palm Sunday...

We had a busy weekend of family events and errands - whew it went by fast!  Henry and I spent the morning on Saturday running errands and attended a baby shower that afternoon for Chance's cousin Brock's wife, Megan.  Their son or daughter will be the 14th great-grandchild on the Gregory side (Henry made 13).  Henry got lots of loves and kisses from his cousins, aunts and Grammie at the shower and was zonked the rest of the day.  He napped more on Saturday than he does in 2 or 3 days of naps combined!

Chance was helping friends of ours work cattle on Saturday, so Henry and I stopped by to check things out on our way home.  It was so hot (upper 80's), sunny and VERY windy, so we didn't stay long.  It was a lot of new things for Henry to see and hear, and he was just mesmerized with everything.

On Sunday, he woke up at 6:30AM and we got our day started bright and early! How is it that we can all be up since 6:30 and we're still racing to make it to church on time?!  Haha!

We realized as he was getting restless in church that most of the toys we brought made noise...oops!  I made the executive decision that it was time to check out the church nursery before we started disrupting the preacher.  Of course, he loved the nursery...especially the exersaucer.  That's his favorite "toy" at daycare so he knew exactly what to do.  I was able to visit with the ladies in charge of the nursery and get to know them so Henry can be dropped off when we need to.  We love the attention he gets at church (he's pretty popular :)) but it's getting harder and harder to entertain him and it's hard to pay attention when we're wrestling a squirmy infant.

Cute shirt I found for Easter - says "On the Hunt for Chicks" :)

On Sunday evening, we went down to Cheney to celebrate Chance's Grandma Gregory's 86th birthday.  The party was a lot of fun and Henry was able to spend time with his cousins on the Gregory side.  He is starting to get a little stranger-danger lately, and it was interesting to see how different being in a crowd was for him this weekend.  Mommy and Daddy had to stay close by with all of the noise and new people because he was a little bit fussy.

Wishing Grandma Gregory a Happy Birthday!

The great-grandkids - all 13 of them!  We'll have a 14th in May!

With Grandpa Rod - already in his jammies since it was late and we knew he'd fall asleep on the way home.
